To Whom It May Concern: Online Schools Are Bad

Dear Editor,

Some people may never have to leave their house or even involve themselves in interacting with other people, all because of online schools. These are simply institutions that provide education on the Internet, without ever meeting face to face with other students or teachers. This is a bad idea because students will lack the social skills needed to succeed beyond school and in the workplace.

By having people communicate through chat and blogs will completely eliminate the social aspects of schooling. Students will no longer need to learn how to talk to others as they would in normal school, and would miss out on this key component to school. By having them attend a regular school, they will learn how to get along with other people and problem solve with their peers.

Others say that this will provide more people schooling, this is wrong however. Anybody can attend school by using the bus system, which is very accommodating to the needs of families. Even if the inconvenience to make it to school is too much, the pros should outwiegh the cons, and students should make an effort to get there.

If everyone would attend an actual school society would be a much better place. Everyone would have better social skills, and get along better. Some who never go to school or are around that envirnment lack the things neccessary to succeed in society, which is why the online schools should not be an option for people.
